 Reporting to the Foreman, the Rock Truck Driver is responsible for operating heavy-duty off-road trucks to transport materials such as rock, gravel, sand, and other aggregates within the construction site.  

How You’ll Add Value  

  • Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment 
  • Operate a Rock Truck and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining awareness of surroundings at all times 
  • Conduct pre-trip and walk-around inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly 
  • Perform daily equipment checks and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained 
  • Load and haul materials such as rock, gravel, and sand, ensuring loads are safe and delivered to the correct stockpiles 
  • Identify and respond appropriately to ground disturbance and varying site conditions 
  • Coordinate with excavator operators and other truck drivers to maintain efficient material flow 
  • Assist with other construction-related duties as required, including operating additional heavy equipment 

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1+ year experience operating a rock truck 
  • Physically able to safely lift and carry 40 lbs regularly 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions 
  • Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed
