Volker Stevin is one of the largest heavy civil and highway maintenance contractors in Western Canada, in business since 1978 and tracing its roots to the parent company in the Netherlands, Volker Wessels.

Volker Stevin specializes in management of multi-faceted projects which include underground utility installation, road construction, asphalt paving, structural work and the coordination of many subcontractors but our operations also include highway maintenance, bridge rehabilitation and maintenance as well as asphalt and aggregate production. We have also been involved in canal works, light rail transit projects, the installation of irrigation systems, thermal district heating systems and conduit as well as various other highly specialized projects.

The Company is heavily involved in the building of new land development underground utility servicing and surface infrastructure including deep trunk sewers and water feedermains, sewage lift stations, water reservoirs, storm retention ponds and outfalls as well as complete roadworks, parking lots and pathways for the private sector in the City of Calgary and the surrounding towns and rural municipalities. Volker Stevin also maintains a vast network of existing systems, both underground and surface.
